Today has been one of those days. One of those days that puts a smile on my face. I’m the first to admit that of late I have been in a creative lull (actual life has taken over momentarily), so today when I saw my work featured on such amazing sites as Uppercase and Swiss Miss, well it just makes me want to get right back at it! I also realised that I forgot to shout about the fact that the lovely Charlotte Rivers of Lottie Loves did a whole interview with me recently. I shouted about it elsewhere but there was definite blog neglecting.

That then was the round-up of recent features. A big thanks to all now and past that have featured as it’s the encouragement needed to keep on doing something that I love.

A couple of valentines that I've been working on...

metal polish

Magnetic nail polish. Not kidding you! The creation of nails inc. this clever polish has metallic particles in it that creates a pattern when magnetic force is applied. Whatever next...

map love

Maps are a thing of beauty and these are indeed that. Herb Lester Associates work with a number of illustrators to come up with the goods, hunting out the special places instead of the well-known and then sell them for what I believe to be a ridiculous bargain price. Pretty pretty things.

what a wonderful world

David Attenborough is quite frankly a legend. Him reciting the lyrics to one of the greatest songs ever just makes it even more true. Beautiful little film that should make us realise how small we are in Mother Nature's big scheme.

the typography of moonrise kingdom

Wes Anderson has to be one of the most creative directors in a ‘complete’ way. What I mean is that he is not only an amazing film director but that for him it’s also about the finer details. The staging, the costume, the titles, the typography to name a few. The trailer for his new movie Moonrise Kingdom has just been released and Jessica Hische was commissioned to create the beautiful typography that is seen on the titles. Love and can’t wait to see.

365project

For those of you that follow me on twitter you'll probably already be aware of my 365project. For those not in the know here's the deal.


I have decided to jump on the band-wagon and record my year in photographs. This means a photo every day which will give me an overview of my year come December 31st and will hopefully show me that 2012 will have been quite a fulfilled and exciting one. I'm certain mundane day-to-day tasks will be recorded but hey, we can't gloss over and pretend they don't occur. Not every day will be one of excitement and fulfilment after all. Button on the right should anyone wish to keep an eye on my year.
